Were making a box for a timed outlet. Had bought mismatched parts. Designed and printed an adapter.
Had some batteries that aren’t supposed to be charged for too long. Too easy to forget and keep them plugged in too long. At Home Depot got a 24 hour digital countdown timer. That means you set e.g. four hours, and then it switches off. “Defiant” brand UPC number 0 43180 49817 5.
Only could find that kind of timer as in-wall model. Got a couple more parts to make a useable box.
Dual outlet didn’t match cover plate. Didn’t look nice. Designed and printed an adapter. Showing the kids “we can do it”. Wasn’t very time efficient, but the hardware store is a long drive too.
Too lazy to switch plastic at 9pm. Imagine how well white would match.
This part has been made with a small Printrbot Simple Metal – a 3D printer that works OK and is affordable.
